Self-driving technology isn’t just about the four wheels. In a new study by Boston Consulting Group and the World Economic Forum, urban sprawl is a concern in how autonomous cars will change the composition of cities.
With less painful commutes, workers may live farther away and stretch out urban centers. While there may be both more vehicles on the road and more long distance commuters, traffic time and pollution are expected to diminish.
