Matt West is a Democrat running in Oregon’s brand new 6th Congressional District. He will be the first scientist elected to Oregon’s congressional delegation, and he is the first cryptocurrency developer ever to run. Matt earned his chemical engineering Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on renewable energy. Now a process engineer at Intel and a strategist with Yearn.finance, Matt works at the forefront of the new economy. He is committed to seeing that our government embraces the incredible promise of new and emerging technologies—to fight climate change, improve our economic competitiveness, and better support working families.
