Notice of Availability of Hazard Identification Materials for Perfluorononanoic Acid and Perfluorodecanoic Acid and Their Salts
OEHHA will convene a meeting of the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee (DARTIC) for possible listing of perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA) and its salts, and perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) and its salts, under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).
Current Proposition 65 No Significant Risk Levels (NSRLs) Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs)
Safe harbor levels, which include No Significant Risk Levels (NSRLs) for cancer-causing chemicals and Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) for chemicals causing reproductive toxicity, have been established for many of the chemicals listed under Proposition 65. Exposure levels and discharges to drinking water sources that are below the safe harbor levels are exempt from the requirements of Proposition 65.
