Kathleen helps attorneys identify and resolve business and ethical conflict issues and communicate with clients about such matters. Kathleen regularly counsels attorneys on the application and interpretation of relevant Rules of Professional Conduct in various jurisdictions.
Kathleen is a member of the firm’s Professional Practice Committee and works closely with the Firm’s General Counsel. She is also a certified public accountant.
Prior Work
Before joining ArentFox Schiff, Kathleen served as professional responsibility counsel for a large firm with offices throughout the country. There, she directly defended or worked with independent counsel in defending all professional liability and disciplinary complaints against the firm and its attorneys. She was responsible for regularly reporting such matters to the firm’s professional liability insurer and apprising them of significant developments.
Kathleen previously litigated commercial cases in federal and state courts for both an international law firm and a large litigation firm. She has successfully represented numerous attorneys, accountants, directors, officers, and physicians in professional liability cases and handled a variety of insurance coverage, FDIC, unfair competition, product liability, RICO, intellectual property, contract, employment, bankruptcy, construction, premises liability, and real estate disputes.
Kathleen has worked on numerous appeals in both state and federal courts.
