Matthew Bentley to Participate in National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ NextGen Program
The NCBJ’s NextGen Program selects 50 up-and-coming bankruptcy practitioners based on nominations from law firms, government agencies, and bankruptcy judges. Selected participants have devoted at least 50% of their practice to bankruptcy cases; have achieved legal excellence in the field; have displayed commitment to civility, ethics, and professionalism; and have demonstrated commitment to the ongoing education and development of bankruptcy professionals, including professional activities that will benefit the court system, members of the bar, and the public.
Matthew focuses his practice on guiding clients through complex bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. He represents debtors, financial guarantors, indenture trustees, creditors, and shareholders in Chapter 11 cases. Matthew is member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Federal Bar Council. Prior to his legal career, Matthew served as a firefighter in the United States Air Force and Illinois Air National Guard.
