Former Senator Byron Dorgan Awarded Eno’s Martin Wachs Thought Leader Award
ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce that Government Relations Practice Co-Chair and Senior Policy Advisor Senator Byron Dorgan has received the Martin Wachs Thought Leader Award from the Eno Center for Transportation. The award recognizes major achievements in the field of transportation and, in Dorgan’s case, it recognizes his special work impacting aviation policy in the United States.
In the US Senate, Senator Dorgan served as Chairman of the Aviation Panel on the Commerce Committee. Following his work in the Senate, he serves as the Co-Chairman of the ENO Aviation Stakeholders Roundtable on air traffic control reform and advises the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on approaches to regulate unmanned aerial vehicles. He has been in these roles for the past seven years.
Eno’s Annual Leadership Award recognizes the transportation industry’s most impactful thought leaders, including both individuals and organizations who have contributed significantly to the field.
In his post-Congressional career, Senator Dorgan has remained active in many roles, such as teaching, consulting, writing, and speaking. He is recognized for his impact on aviation policy. And, as a New York Times Bestselling Author of five books, his knowledge covers a wide array of fields, including energy, transportation, taxation, national security, and Indian affairs.
