Peter Butler – Finance
Peter’s practice focuses on finance transactions, including acquisition financings, private placements, syndicated credit facilities, and other structured financings. Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Peter was a research analyst with an international research and consulting firm. He earned his JD from University of Wisconsin Law School and a BA from Vanderbilt University.
Michael Dearington - Complex Litigation; Government Enforcement & White Collar Defense
Mike focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, white collar defense, and government investigations and enforcement. He is a highly sought-after advocate who provides advice to corporate and individual clients in connection with a range of difficult legal issues, and represents clients in all stages of high-stakes litigation, from investigation through trial and appeal. He has led or played leading roles in investigations and trials, and he has argued at multiple federal appellate courts and at the highest state-court level. Mike earned his JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and a BA from Trinity College, and he clerked for the Hon. José A. Cabranes of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Franjo Dolenac – Automotive
Franjo represents clients in automotive, insurance, and other business litigation matters. His broad experience in those industries includes franchise dealership disputes, buy/sell litigation, partnership disputes, warranty fraud, landlord/tenant disputes, contract litigation, intellectual property litigation, insurable interest lawsuits, cost-of-insurance increase litigation, and estate claims. He has served clients as both lead trial counsel and co-counsel in jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings, and appeals. Franjo earned his JD from Loyola Law School and a BA from Case Western Reserve University.
Wesley Gee – Corporate & Securities
Wesley represents clients on a diverse range of corporate matters in the sports, fashion and entertainment, and logistics industries. He represents numerous sports teams and venues, as well as brands, in connection with naming rights and sponsorship agreements and arena lease and license agreements and was recognized as a leading lawyer in the 2020 edition of Legal 500. He also acts as outside general counsel to a number of fashion and luxury goods companies and logistics and supply chain providers. He is the Co-Chair of Attorneys of Color at AFS and a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee. Wesley – a native of Potomac, Maryland – earned his JD from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America and a BS from the University of Maryland.
Justin Goldberg – Corporate & Securities
Justin represents clients in a wide variety of commercial transactions, including corporate structuring, finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, real estate, sponsorships, and general corporate law. He provides effective counsel throughout a company’s business life cycle, from formation through operations, expansion, and eventual sale. Justin’s clients include international corporations, prominent individuals, collegiate sports entities, and emerging growth companies, across the following Industry Groups: Beverage & Food, Sports, Insurance & Reinsurance, Cannabis, Transportation & Mobility – Automotive, and Life Sciences. Justin earned his JD from University of Southern California Gould School of Law and a BA from The George Washington University.
Dan Jasnow – Metaverse, Blockchain & Digital Assets; Beverage & Food; Advertising & Promotions
Dan’s practice focuses on advertising, product development and distribution, and intellectual property in the technology, fashion and retail, alcohol and beverage, environmental, and consumer products industries. He has been at the forefront of the Metaverse, NFT, and crypto space. Dan co-founded and is a proud member of OutFox, ArentFox Schiff’s LGBTQ+ affinity group. He earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA from New York University.
Helen Ji – Patent
Helen represents a diverse range of clients regarding intellectual property matters. She is an experienced trial litigator with specialty in complex life science patent litigations. She additionally counsels clients regarding transactional intellectual property issues, patent landscape analyses and strategies, and trademark and patent proceedings before the PTAB and TTAB. With a technical background in bioengineering, she effectively handles a broad range of technologies including biomedical devices, eCommerce platforms, electronic devices, and pharmaceutical drugs in Hatch-Waxman disputes. Helen earned her JD from University of Michigan Law School and a BS from the University of Maryland.
Lindsay Korotkin - Trademark
Lindsay’s practice focuses on IP litigation, prosecution, and transactions involving trademarks, copyrights, and design patents. She counsels clients in virtually every industry, with an emphasis on fashion, entertainment, and technology businesses. She earned her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a BA from Barnard College of Columbia University.
Nadia Patel – Complex Litigation
Nadia represents individuals and businesses in government investigations as well as a variety of commercial litigation in state and federal court, including cases involving contract claims, Lanham Act violations, and litigation arising out of corporate transactions. She also represents employers in employment-related litigation, including matters involving violations of restrictive covenants, the Defend Trade Secret Act, and state trade secret laws. Nadia earned her JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Lee Pepper – Complex Litigation
Lee is a seasoned litigator who advises companies, C-suite executives, and high-net-worth individuals across a broad array of industries, including construction, insurance and reinsurance, financial services, real estate, and fashion. He has successfully litigated disputes related to mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, trademark infringement, business torts, and other commercial actions. Lee earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BS from Cornell University.
Allison K. Pfeifle – Private Clients, Trusts & Estates
Allison advises clients on a broad range of estate planning matters, trust and estate administration, and tax-efficient methods of stewarding and transferring multi-generational wealth. She takes pride in translating her clients’ complex planning issues into more digestible concepts, equipping them to make informed decisions about their estate plans. She enjoys finding creative solutions to complicated legal issues that arise in the context of modifying irrevocable trusts and is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics. Her professional background includes experience at a boutique estate planning and accounting firm, a national trust company, and a family office. Allison earned her JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law and her BA from New York University.
Eric Roman – Complex Litigation
Eric is a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, business leaders, and in-house counsel. An experienced technology and intellectual property litigator, investigator, and regulatory compliance monitor, his practice focuses on intellectual property and other complex commercial litigation, including copyright, patent, and trademark disputes, and he regularly represents clients in the software, data privacy, and computer security industries. Eric earned his JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from New York University.
Brittany Sokoloff – Complex Litigation
Brittany litigates high-stakes, complex commercial, and white collar disputes throughout the country. She manages a diverse practice involving commercial disputes, securities litigation, and derivative actions, and has successfully helped her clients conduct internal investigations in response to state and federal inquiries, navigate grand jury investigations, respond to witness subpoenas, prepare for sentencings, and move for compassionate release. Brittany earned her JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Tufts University.
