Arent Fox Named Unsecured Creditors Committee Counsel in Two Different Bankruptcy Proceedings
Arent Fox’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring practice was retained as counsel to represent the official committee of unsecured creditors in the cases of Glansaol Holdings Inc and Philmar Care, LLC.
Glansaol and its subsidiaries comprise one of the largest independent prestige beauty and personal care companies in the United States, operating a portfolio of three highly regarded brands – Laura Geller Beauty, Julep Beauty, and Clark’s Botanicals. The brands reach their customers through a variety of channels including wholesale customers and broadcast shopping networks, and offer a full spectrum of products, from makeup to skin care. The engagement is led by New York partners Andrew I. Silfen, George Angelich, and Beth Brownstein.
Arent Fox was also retained as counsel to Philmar Care, LLC. Philmar Care operates a 204-bed skilled nursing and medical care facility commonly known as San Fernando Post Acute Hospital. The facility provides nursing care to elderly and severely-ill patients on a long-term or permanent basis. This engagement is led by Los Angeles partners Aram Ordubegian and Andy Kong and associate Christopher Wong.
