Arent Fox Adds Seasoned Corporate Partner in Washington, DC
Arent Fox is pleased to announce the expansion of its Corporate & Securities practice with the addition of Partner Jonathan P. Bagg. Jonathan represents senior and mezzanine lenders, corporate borrowers, and financial sponsors in connection with a wide variety of financing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and debt restructurings.
Jonathan joined the firm from Cooley LLP and has particular experience advising clients in the retail, transportation, financial services, media, manufacturing, life sciences, and education sectors. Beyond transactions, Jonathan counsels clients in connection with the delivery or receipt of financial advisory services, including fairness opinions and solvency opinions. He routinely provides counsel on general corporate matters. Already this year, Arent Fox has added eight Partners and two Counsel, including private equity, M&A, and VC Partner Steve Hanson in New York.

Jonathan’s Experience
- Jonathan counsels several clients, including a major outdoor retailer, a regional airline, and an association of student loan providers and servicers, on general corporate matters.
- Jonathan’s recent work includes receivables factoring facilities in connection with the launch of services to satellite companies, representing emerging companies in connection with venture loans from different lenders, negotiating capital-call based lines of credit for several venture capital funds, representing several FinTech clients in connection with warehouse lines of credit, and negotiating an Asset Based Lending facility for a major shoe retailer.
- Before entering private practice, Jonathan worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Office of International Corporate Finance. He spent several years as the assistant to the vice-chair at the US Export-Import Bank.
