Senator Dorgan Talks Tax Reform in an appearance on Fox Business Network

On April 11, 2017, Senator Byron Dorgan, a Senior Policy Advisor at Arent Fox  appeared on the Closing Bell on Fox Business News along with former Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) to discuss how upcoming tax reform efforts in Congress may play out I the coming weeks and months.

Citing the deep division between the parties, particularly after the nuclear option was used during the Supreme Court Justice Confirmation hearings for Neal Gorsuch, host Liz Claman asked the senators for their thoughts on tax reform. Both agree that the only path forward on tax reform that can be successful is a bipartisan effort.  Both senators speak from experience. They were both Members of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee when the last major tax reform was enacted by Congress. That tax reform effort was bipartisan and began with a President Reagan, a Republican, and Ways and Means Chairman Rostenkowski, a Democrat.  To watch the interview, click here
