Senator Dorgan Discusses Division in America on MSNBC
Arent Fox senior policy advisor and former Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) appeared on MSNBC along with former Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) to discuss division in America in light of the Trump Administration with Greta Van Susteren.
When asked if America has become more divided under the new President, Dorgan commented that, “We are louder, and more divided perhaps. We’ve been increasingly divided over several decades. I want President Trump to succeed, but he did a lot to divide this country with his language, his actions, and his behavior.” Dorgan also said Trump’s “Tweet storm” does not help. He and Senator DeMint go on to deliberate over the recent heated town hall meetings Congressmen have faced in their home districts, the health care system, and political compromise.
