Philip English Talks NAFTA Negotiations with CNN
Arent Fox Senior Government Relations Advisor Philip English offered his thoughts on NAFTA renegotiation after the Trump Administration recently officially triggered the 90-day consultation period by formally sending a letter to Congress.
During the campaign, President Donald Trump often spoke of terminating or at the very least renegotiating the historic trade agreement between the US, Canada, and Mexico. While no specifics have been released, all three parties are vocal about their willingness to update the agreement, which was originally made law in 1994. Mr. English said, “It is in everyone’s interest that this issue be resolved quickly, cleanly and in a manner that leaves everyone on all sides of the border happy.” To read the article in full, click here.
