Speaking with the Wall Street Journal, land use partner Tim Tosta spoke about how the fevered pitch of anti-development sentiment can undermine the region’s ability hold onto its unique position as the global hub of tech.

If development becomes too difficult, companies will look beyond the Bay Area. “You’ll see them expanding elsewhere,” Tim said. “And then you’ll have lost opportunities that you didn’t even know you lost because they didn’t bother to inquire as the market will be so restrictive.”
