Jasnow Quoted on Metaverse Privacy and Consent Practices

Dan Jasnow was quoted on the current privacy practices, or lack thereof, in the Metaverse to address consent laws regarding biometrics and other personal data.

Dan said that the web3 platforms tend to be more “laisez-faire” on privacy.

“Some brands in the web3 worlds are using notice and consent with pop-up notices to access their digital experience in Decentraland,” he said. However, he added that the Metaverse does not require virtual property owners to give notice to users, “and some are not.”
