UT Law CLE’s 32nd Annual Health Law Conference

Wayne’s presentation, titled “Vaccine Development/Emergency Use Authorization,” will analyze the Food and Drug Administration’s requirements for submitting an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for vaccines during a public health emergency such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. Wayne and his co-presenters, Bethsheba Johnson, Senior Director and HIV Prevention Field Director Western US at Gilead Sciences, Inc., and Biologics Consulting Group President and CEO Norman Baylor, will discuss the challenges when submitting an EUA application, as well as the provider’s role in addressing public fears and concerns about vaccines and treatments that enter the market through the EUA process.

The virtual conference is designed for in-house attorneys from major hospitals and medical institutions, government officials, and legal and financial advisors representing hospitals, health care providers, and physicians. The annual event addresses current issues and opportunities facing the health care industry.
