Health Care Partner Annie Chang Lee will speak about COVID’s impacts on health care providers at the Physicians Legal Issues: Healthcare Delivery & Innovation Conference (PLI) on Thursday, September 15.
The presentation, titled “Impacts of a Pandemic on the Hearts, Minds and Health of Medical Professionals,” will explore the nature and extent of the pandemic’s effect on medical professionals, including burnout and mental health challenges, provider safety concerns and protocols, staffing issues, compensation disputes, telehealth trends, and government interventions aimed at providing relief and protection for providers.
A joint continuing legal education and continuing medical education conference for physicians and health care attorneys, PLI is designed to help physicians and other health care providers navigate the evolving landscape of health care delivery in the midst of economic, judicial, political, and regulatory forces and technological innovation. The conference is hosted by the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section, the Chicago Medical Society, and the American College of Legal Medicine.
