Partner Karen Carr will serve as a panel speaker at the 2020 FDLI Annual Conference in October. Karen’s session is titled “Emerging Technologies: Regulatory Oversight of Intentional Genomic Alterations in Animals,” and will address the regulatory framework for new and emerging animal products produced using biotechnology and other innovative breeding techniques.
The conference is a major annual event for the food and drug law community. Attendees include experts from the federal government, industry, and private bar, as well as nonprofits, patient and consumer advocates, and academia. The annual curriculum addresses complex legal, regulatory, compliance, and policy issues impacting all facets of FDA-regulated industry. This year, there will be a large focus on the impacts COVID-19 has had on FDA priorities moving forward, with speakers including the FDA Commissioner, Chief Counsel, Center Directors, and other key leaders within the Agency.
