Pete began his career in private practice with 11 years of reinsurance arbitrations, regulatory disputes, and commercial litigation. He then helmed QBE North America’s legal and compliance functions for 10 years, helping build QBE’s US and LATAM arms through multiple acquisitions and renewal rights deals, while managing a department of sophisticated and successful lawyers. His most recent in-house turn was as General Counsel of Spinnaker Insurance Company, a hybrid fronting carrier that diversified and grew as he helped bring on several profitable insurance programs. In private practice, Pete has worked with start-ups as well as established companies, life and annuity as well as property and casualty companies, and intermediaries as well as companies. He brings in-depth knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry to his work on a variety of business and compliance issues, with particular experience on insurance and reinsurance litigation and arbitration, program business, regulatory and corporate compliance matters, and insurance M&A transactions.

In addition, Pete has provided brokerage and advisory services to Financial Institutions at a large international insurance and reinsurance brokerage.
