Justin advises for-profit and not-for-profit clients, including local, regional, and national developers, investors, REITs, senior living providers, educational providers, associations, institutions, lenders, and government-sponsored enterprises in complex real estate, finance, corporate, and tax matters. He specializes in acquisitions and dispositions, financing, development, and due diligence of office, mixed-use, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, assisted and senior living, and educational properties.
Justin is a member of the firm’s nonprofit, real estate, and corporate practices. He represents nonprofit borrowers and underwriters on tax-exempt bond financings, including public offerings, limited public offerings, private placements, and direct purchases. Justin also advises nonprofit organizations on formation and local and federal tax matters, including real estate and exempt organization taxation.
Previous Work
Justin has worked at ArentFox Schiff since 2006. He previously worked as a records management specialist and HRIS data analyst at the firm. In 2016, as a Law Clerk at the firm, Justin reviewed, analyzed, and drafted closing documents and ancillary agreements for real estate finance transactions.
While working at ArentFox Schiff, Justin received his JD and MBA from The George Washington University. He previously received a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech. Before working at the firm, he worked as a legal assistant intern and records management specialist for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Life Beyond the Law
Justin enjoys adventure and the great outdoors: golfing; mountain biking; hiking; fishing; camping; and exploring.
