Fernanda provides critical support, research, and input that aids clients address crucial issues. Fernanda, from the start of her career, has focused on the representation of hospitals, medical staffs, medical foundations, ambulatory surgery centers, and health plans in matters relating to quality, regulatory compliance, credentialing, and peer review (from the medical staff investigation to the peer review hearing).

Fernanda counsels clients on National Practitioner Data Bank and Business and Professions Code Section 805 Reports, physician credentialing and privileging, peer review issues, peer review hearing procedures, allied health professionals, and helps clients respond to Medical Board subpoenas.

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Fernanda was a Law Clerk at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, where she assisted survivors of domestic violence and other crimes. Fernanda was also a Student Volunteer at the Self-Help desk of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

In her free time, Fernanda enjoys trying new food at Disney, camping, and doing her own manicures (which she’s been doing almost weekly for over 17 years).
