Devin has worked on a variety of matters including employment and civil rights litigation, as well as criminal, tort, federal regulations, and contract dispute cases. Before joining ArentFox Schiff, Devin was a legal extern to the Honorable Allen P. Walker, Circuit of Cook County and to the Honorable Gary Feinerman, US District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Previous Work
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Devin honed her skills as an advocate during her time working in book publishing as a literary agent. As an agent, Devin worked with authors from predominantly marginalized communities, represented them in the sale of their manuscripts and championed their interests throughout the publishing process. Devin’s years of experience representing clients honed her advocacy skills and prepared her for her legal career.
Publications, Presentations & Recognitions
During law school, Devin’s paper, “Don’t Stop Me Now: An Analysis of Low-Level, Pretextual Traffic Stops and a Case for Banning Them,” was selected as the winner of the 3rd annual Racial Justice Writing Competition. Devin earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the highest grade in the Law of Privacy.

Professional Activities
Pro Bono Work
Devin has a passion for using her skills to assist those in need of legal assistance. Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Devin was a Volunteer Parole Representative for Project 1-11, where she represented C Number inmates at their parole hearings. As a Chicago native, Devin strives to invest in her city through pro bono legal and community service. Devin provides services through the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services and the National Immigration Justice Center.
Life Beyond the Law
Outside of work, Devin enjoys hiking with her dog, reading a good novel, and walking along the beautiful Chicago lakefront.
