Carol A. Girgis

As a registered patent attorney, Carol has extensive experience in both IP litigation and patent and trademark prosecution. Carol has experience in a range of complex patent infringement matters in the district courts, Federal Circuit, and the International Trade Commission (ITC) through trial and appeal. Her practice includes post-grant proceedings before the USPTO. Carol prosecutes patent and trademark applications and has promptly obtained patent issuance for her clients, and her patent prosecution experience is broad across numerous areas of technology. Additionally, her practice includes preparing thorough patent and trademark searches, non-infringement opinions, freedom to operate opinions, invalidity analyses, contractual matters, and IP counseling.

Her litigation experience involving trade secret misappropriation and complex commercial litigation, includes breach of contract disputes and business torts, corporate officer and professional liability, securities litigation, and more. Carol excels at thorough legal research and motion practice, often securing dismissals at the pleading stage of litigation.

Before becoming a lawyer, Carol was a software engineer and worked on development of mobile and browser-based applications in the communications and travel industries.
