Amanda is a skilled trial attorney, with experience in both federal and state court. Her advocacy has resulted in successful motions for summary judgment, motions for directed verdicts, and defense jury verdicts in both the Central District of California and the Superior Court of California. She also has experience with appeals in both the Ninth Circuit and the California Courts of Appeal. Amanda represents employers in matters arising under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Labor Code, and other labor and employment laws.
In addition to her litigation work, Amanda advises clients on a wide variety of matters pertaining to employment and labor claims, including advising clients on union negotiations and revisions to collective bargaining agreements.
Client Work
- Represented a public entity in defense of harassment, retaliation, and discrimination claims. The public entity was awarded summary judgment on all claims.
- Represented a public entity in defense of Federal and California Constitution claims. After a four-week civil trial, secured a directed verdict for two of the claims. The public entity secured a defense verdict on all claims.
Previous Work
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Amanda was an Associate at a well-respected law firm in Southern California, gaining experience representing public entities and their various departments, agencies, and employees.
Life Beyond the Law
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys supporting Angel City FC and being outdoors, including skiing in the winter and golfing year-round in the beautiful Southern California weather.
